So I bought this at the nursery yesterday, labeled only Hens and Chicks Sempervivum. Sticking tongue out Also said "Houseplant". Huh.

Anyway, I hope it is not a houseplant cause I do not do well with those. Course, since my latest debacle I'm not so sure how well I do with outside plants either, Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Anyway, can this be ID-ed? Seems pretty distinctive:

I repotted it; it has dirt on it now so I didn't photograph it after repotting. Whistling But it was growing out of its container and it seemed to be planted entirely in peat moss or something similar?

Nice plant Kyla. It is one of the S. arachnoideum type of semps. No idea of which one.

I have a much loved NOID arachnoideum in the front yard, in a head container. Love it, even if it doesn't have a name. Green Grin!

Well, this one practically got shoved into my hands, my buddy who went with me to the local big nursery found it and kind of waved it under my nose at the checkout lane, saying "look at the price! That's a good price!" Hilarious!

Potted up. I ran out of Perlite! AGHGH! But used a whole lot of pea gravel in this, mounded it up..... then we had a downpour.

Hope it makes it. For now it looks pretty good.

If it is going to rain again, put some thing over it as a protection from more rain. The cover needs to sit high enough to allow for air flow, shouldn't be touching the plants.

Lynn, thanks! Unfortunately I don't have enough such covers if I even could invent one on the spur of the moment. Fortunately, there is a tent/cabana set up in the yard, and I wheeled the arachnoideum and a few others into it on the wheelbarrow yesterday. In advance of a storm that didn't come. But it is raining today and tomorrow, and then (I hope) stopping for a bit.

(I posted this in the newbie advice thread. Green Grin! )
