Something is making little brown marks on my houseplants and it's getting worse! I've had a few bugs etc. this year but nothing that I see to be causing this! I took pics of my sickest plant for you. I never see anything moving around the marks! As soon as I see trouble I fight back as much as I dare. Some of my houseplants are tender , most are succulents. I don't use been oil unless I absolutely have to. I don't know 😞, any ideas or suggestions?? Thank you in advance! I will appreciate any help!

Can you give the names of the affected plants and what kind of environment they are growing in? Also how often do you water? I'm not sure that it is a pest problem, maybe something else, but some more details would be helpful.

Actually that is the "plant" It was 2 cuttings of , what I believe to be Cistanthe Grandiflora ( Calandrinia). I treat it as a succulent, let soil dry, an inch or two down, then good drink. I used a different kind of plant food this past month. Not sure but I think it was a Miracle Grow shake on, little beads like Osmocote. Maybe it was too strong for it to touch the little plant? I was thinking it looked like that plant, but it's not one I know well, only had for about a year. I hate to not have anything positive to say but the cuttings don't look good, browning at the bottom. When I've done cuttings of it, I let them dry overnight, then stuck in pot. Worked well. For future reference, any kind of fertilizer is said to be too strong for unrooted cuttings until they show signs of new growth.

Hopefully someone with more experience propagating this plant will have some advice for you.

I have no experience with the plant but just wondering, did they ever have roots and these have rotted off or were these cuttings that were in the process of being rooted?

How far up the stem were they inserted into the medium, in other words would those brown lesions on the stems have been at the level of the soil surface?

The brown spots , on this plant, went all the way up the stem, into the new growth. It was very strange though. They had maybe 4-5 new baby leaves and it started on the new leaves, so I gently rinsed the leaves, first with water, when I saw that it was slowly getting worse, I rinsed the entire cutting with a gentle soap and warm water rinse. That was when I found that the bottom of the stem was also affected, so I trimmed the bad spots at the bottom and trimmed the leaves that were affected at the top. So purpleinopp there was new growth before I fertized with Miracle Grow beads. There was small roots sooby and they rotted. It started with new growth and the new roots and stem! Weird right? The middle of the plant was fine for awhile.I have changed the soil in almost all of my plants, whew 2 solid days! Lol, I hate to lose a plant! Thank you all very, very much.
