Ciscoe is doing his radio show from the Gray Barn Nursery at 11am. I plan to be there, would be nice to meet up with some other ATP folks. Anita and I happened to stumble on him a couple of years ago when he was doing his show in Lake Forest Park.

He was giving away plants if you could guess the answer to his question. I couldn't, so he asked the audience to help and he gave one to me anyway. He was trying to describe garlic, but I had no clue what it looks like as it's growing. He gave a hint of it being a favorite seasoning for Italians, but I still didn't get it. He should have said it wards off vampires, then I would have guessed it!

How fun is that! He is always a great speaker. He spoke at the lectures series for Snohomish County Master Gardeners.

Long before I started liking digging in the dirt, I always tried to catch him on his short TV spots, he's a hoot!

I haven't been able to get past either his voice or corniness. I do read his Sunday feature in the Seattle Times, good info.

He was at Sorticulture (in Everett) after that. While we were parking the car and walking up, we could hear his voice over the speakers. By the time we got in, it was over and we didn't see him again until we were on our way out...saw him and his wife walking to their car.

I enjoy listening to him...his enthusiasm is infectious - he really loves what he does. I have also been to his house for a tour/wine evening. He really knows his stuff - in fact, when I did Master Gardener Plant Clinic at Home Depot for many years, I would bring his book along - almost all of the questions had been asked/answered there. Now I am doing clinic at the Bellevue Demonstration Garden, so the questions that we get there are very different.
