Bonnie, your comment about the seedlings on the compost pile brought back a memory from the 2006 Convention, also in Portland. We were visiting MidAmerica Gardens. Wandering around the place, I came across their massive compost pile on the side of a hill. It was in full bloom. Unfortunately, my picture is on a slide.

I really like that third one. It looks small but I still like the burgandy/peach combo!!

Great photos, Mikey! I saw your post early this morning but it was too early for my brain to be working. Welcome to the iris family! With photos like that I hope you are a permanent fixture.

Carl, blooming on the compost pile?? That would have blown my mind!

I think it would have depressed me to see seedings, probably as beautiful as some of those posted, all being left to rot.

That said, your pictures have been wonderful!!!
