Looking for suggestions for Flowering Perennials that will grow under somewhat neglectful care in central Florida (Tampa Bay - Lakeland Area).. Any and all helpful hints appreciated..

Region: Florida Cat Lover Garden Sages Cactus and Succulents Tropicals Hosted a Not-A-Raffle-Raffle
Well, here I am. But my experience is with zone 10 plants. So I'm really not sure what to recommend.... are Pentas perennial there? Because they are here, and you can't find a more carefree plant than Pentas.
