SE Michigan weather has been really wet!

Usually farmers get in 3 crops of alfalfa.

maybe only 2 this year because of the rain.

i usually spot kill some weeds with roundup, too much rain.

not sure what this is going to do with my veggie garden...

They are calling for lots more rain through the end of the month. I'm starting to see some fungal issues. I've been pulling out lots of stuff as my overcrowding tendancy makes things worse

we will happily take some of that rain off your hands. We started off the year wet but as the temps creeped upwards the time between rains got further and further. It's crazy how some of us are burdened with rain while others pray for it.

If only we could spread some of the excess rain around to the places that need it...

once we figure THAT out, maybe some of you could share some of the heat with me Big Grin

it just keeps raining, I hate it.
I have also got issues now with fungal stuff, have to be diligent about letting poochies out because there are mushrooms like alllllll over the place. Must have been at least 100 of them just in my front bed yesterday. I guess it came in on the mulch I laid this spring.

The ground is so saturated there is just no where for it to go now.
I have really had problems with slugs and other pests and didn't even bother to plant any veggies this year, it never stopped raining long enough to plant anything! Supposed to get another 6 inches between now and Saturday. Sighing!

Been having troubles with our roof leaking, and now it is leaking lots and often and I have to keep towels down on the floor to soak it up. Really hope next summer we can get that fixed.

Yikes! I think I prefer too little rain to too much, though I'm in the "too little" territory right now and agree with Daniel about our weather patterns. We did have thunderstorms last night that cooled things a bit from the nearly 100 F high yesterday, but got no measurable rain (less than a sixteenth of an inch.)

I can always water, but I can't take excess water away! Still, it's much nicer when the weather does the watering. Green Grin!

No rain for me for a few months. Temps in the 90s and low triple digits ... Grumbling

That's normal for here, so I shouldn't complain, but I always complain about the heat ... Hilarious!

I learned to garden in a dry season/rainy season type climate. I find it's helpful to sort of know about that. Here, could rain, could not. Never know. Shrug! Confused Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Sandy ...

I won't let myself complain about winter, although it is much colder up here than anywhere else I have lived. I just don't want to be complaining half of my life away ... Big Grin So, the heat is it !

My only real weather-complaining regret is the one year (a few years back) when I spent the entire beautiful autumn fretting so much over the coming winter that I didn't enjoy the fall at all! Realized how stupid that had been and haven't made that mistake again Smiling

Raining lightly here right now, rained pretty hard this morning. Tonight and tomorrow morning it is supposed to rain hard as the remains of Tropical Storm Bill arrive.

Rain has finally stopped here for the next week, hopefully. House has 6" of water under it. Like filled up in the crawl space Angry
Trying to pump it out, and hopefully will not have issues with mold.

We also had 10 million teeny ants come in over night and carry away the kitchen Hilarious!
I set out some borax mixed with pancake syrup to poison them. Well many are dead this morning but not from poison. They drowned in it Rolling on the floor laughing
Also trapped 3 mice in 2 days. I guess all the critters are getting desperate and looking for the Ark Hilarious!
Even the cattle across the road were looking miserable. Just standing there in one place ... day after day of rain. Actually closed down 60 hwy at James River. Said the river was the highest it has been since 1909. I guess this was our hundred yr flood Blinking

Flooding in SO many places again this year... Blinking
Makes me glad to live way, WAY upstream -- however, the water table is quite high here this year, which is a good thing because it means the water level in L. Michigan has come up considerably from the low that it reached a few years back, but a bad thing because it means we've also been pumping tons of water out of the crawl space this spring.

It's still dry here. Although my part of California got a lot of rain this season, the water table still hasn't gotten up to normal. I am having to water my trees again this year.

By next Wednesday, we are headed into several days of triple digits. Oh, joy ... Crying I hate the heat.

You can always come to visit me to get away from the heat, Lyn -- our temp didn't get past the mid 60s today, and this was the day they opened the municipal beach in Escanaba (which is Lake Michigan); we could have gone swimming! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Yep, still gardening while wearing a sweatshirt... Rolling my eyes.
