I just looked this morning at the receipt that paypal emailed for the plantstep program and it has payment made to Lisa Belan for Flower Software 2013. I thought the name was Kent, and the newest software version was 2015. I didn't some how get the wrong program, did I?

No. You should be fine. I believe that Lisa is his wife. And the software may be 2013, but I bet once you download the program, you will then have the option to upgrade it with the latest software (which it will probably be already - which is what I suspect is the case). They spend more time improving the program and other projects than advertising it, IMHO. I personally would trust that everything is fine. They are super nice folks to purchase from! Thumbs up

Yes, Lisa is his wife. It will have the upgrade all ready for you when you get it installed.

I need to see about putting the program on my tablet. That way I could just take the table out to the garden and make notes out there. Never even thought about that until right now!

Natalie, just send Kent and Lisa a message and they will tell you exactly how to get it done. Every time I upgrade to a new computer with a new operating system I ask them how to move my Flowers program to the new computer and they always let me know how to accomplish the move. I never thought about putting it on my Kindle Fire, thanks for the idea guess I should put it there even though I mostly use my laptop.

I am wondering about my Kindle Fire it may not have enough memory for the program and all my pictures, I know it has 32 MB. Will have to check with them when I have some time to spare.

Thanks Betty. I might wait until I get a larger tablet. Mine is only 7", so kind of small for looking at things. Also, since I'd really want it just for taking notes, maybe the pictures wouldn't need to be added. I'll check on that. I like to keep track of FFO, and haven't done that this year because my computer is in the house, and I always forget by the time I get back in here! Hilarious! Thought it would be good for noting which crosses I made as well.

Natalie,
I keep track of FFO's and stuff like that with my camera. I shoot whatever is new and then use the pics to remind me of what notes to take. My ADHD sieve brain needs help.

I do that too Leslie. Sometimes though it would be nice to make notes to go along with it. Also, sometimes I totally forget to look at the ton of pictures I took until a week later, and by then, I've forgotten if the pictures are of the FFO or of just a pretty face!

Just curious if any of you could let me know, how long it took before the program was sent to you?

Thanks,

Got mine pretty much right away as well. I've had problems contacting them through their contact page though. Copy and paste the address from there and send it from your regular e-mail. You should hear back pretty quickly.

Gale, if you don't hear something soon, let me know, and I would be happy to contact them for you. I need to do that anyway, since I want to ask about putting the program on my tablet.

I haven't yet used the program for seedlings. Like Ed said earlier, it seems to take a lot of time to enter all the data and I would agree that winter would be a good time to explore it further.

Hey everyone, I'm also looking at this program for keeping track of my plants. Does it have the ability to map out a garden to keep track of where plants are located? Or is it mostly a database? Thanks!
