I agree Loving all the pictures on this thread. So many that I would love to have. Mine look horrible, lots of slug holes.

It certainly is wonderful, Ann, to have someone like you around who can correct all our mistakes and keep us on our toes. I really appreciate all your help. Maybe one of these days I will get it all straight, lol, but I seriously doubt it!!

It's the picture below the name. My iPad pretty much does what it wants. I am pretty sure that is BS.

Frillylilly,

Have you ever been to Hilltop Farms? I don't think it's too far from you, and they used to have online sales with a beautiful selection.

Yes I have been there, a really nice nursery. They don't do online sales anymore that I am aware of. Oscar does donate a lot of hostas to our local hosta club.

I called this spring, and no they don't do online sales anymore. I ordered from them once and they actually sent plants in gallon pots! They were beautiful plants and did great. I'd love to visit their business, but it's too far to drive for plants!

A few more of my favorites. I have really enjoyed all the pictures, and finding more plants that I can't live without.

Just got back from visiting the kids in Missouri, and wanted to tell all that have clay for soil and can grow hosta "Kudos to you for a job well done!" I took my daughter plant shopping and also took her a few divisions from my collection to expand her gardens. Wow! I garden in sand and was shocked at how difficult it is to dig and amend clay! We got some stuff planted with a lot more difficulty than I'm used to! I'm always complaining about how fast my sand dries out, but after working in her gardens I'm thinking that I have it pretty good over here on the sandy banks of the Mississippi!

When I got home I had a wonderful package from my hosta secret swap person! Ten hosta that I don't have in my collection!

I'll be out planting these tomorrow, and I won't be complaining about my sand!

Rose, I have the heavy clay and it is a PAIN!! I buy a mix by the truckload for my garden beds.

Excellent haul, do they ever have a swap on ATPs?

They just had one! It was posted here on the hosta forum. The "SECRET HOSTA SWAP". I'm not sure if he's going to organize one again this year, but I'm sure he'll do one again next year. They're always fun, and I've always gotten some really nice plants! Keep your eye on this forum because I'm not sure if he posts on the classified forum.

After helping my daughter dig and chop through that stuff, I applaud you for getting anything to grow Teresa! If I remember right, you have a nice collection of daylillies?
