This daylily has no color description showing with it. I thought that was imported automatically?

I think that has to be selected when it is filled out?

Frillylily, selected and filled out where? I thought the AHS info for registered daylilies was "automatically" imported, does someone have to fill all that info again manually?

oh, you know, I guess I didn't think of that. I only have added some strays here and there that were not in the db already, and had to fill it out manually.

Seed, I just entered and submitted a data update for the color and few other missing entries on Mexican Fiesta. As soon as Sue approves it the updated info will be available.

On occasion, the AHS DB will not have a color description. Often time it's a very old cultivar. And then there are rules about not releasing data details on new intros until publication the following year. (for example... http://www.daylilies.org/Dayli... )


My guess would be that since Mexican Fiesta is a 2014 intro, it was listed in our DB as such, but the data details had not been released yet on the AHS site . Therefore Mexican Fiesta got listed in the DB but without it's date details. Now they are and those cultivars need updating.

As far as it auto-updating, sure that's possible, but Dave would have to send a bot into motion for it to collect that new data. I'm pretty sure he does not a bot to constantly 'crawl' through the AHS site to auto detect when new info is added. (Total guess work on my part here, though)

Yes I see those often, but this one was more or a computer glitch I think, the AHS info was already available.

The AHS does have the info now and that was probably entered since the last time Dave's 'robot' went collecting the newest details.

I will have to ask @dave to check that though because the AHS says "Registration database last uploaded 2015-03-09" and the last time the robot collected 630 new cultivars and 85 checkboxes was on April 14, 2015

Someone has added the details manually today.

In April 2015, the entry on the AHS website for this daylily said:

'Mexican Fiesta'
(Maryott, 2014)
ICNCP rules require that we withhold the description until checklist publication in 2015

So it looks like the AHS database has been updated since then as the descriptions are now there even though they record the last update in March before you ran the robot. http://www.daylilies.org/Dayli...
