Hi all, I actually got a lot dug today, will dig more tomorrow, and will see how many more I need to dig up, and hopefully get just about everyone shipped out Saturday. Thanks for your patience... I could have never dreamed our weather would be like this.... definitely a first for us.

Really tried hard to get stuff out Saturday, ended up throwing my back out, and now, I'm not moving well at all. I'm not going to be able to dig more than what I have dug, I have to finish getting them separated before I will know exactly how many fans I have. The roots are so intertwined together that I'm mangling a lot of them just trying to get them separated... I wish I'd put something in the photo for perspective.. but this clump is representative of what I'm dealing with. They weigh a ton, and do not want to come apart without a fight.

So, first I'm going to ask if anyone would like to VOLUNTEER to cancel their order. If you paid with paypal, I will refund you the same way. If you paid with check, I will either rip up your check and send you a picture of the destroyed check, OR mail it back to you.... your choice.

If you are willing to volunteer to cancel your order, please message me and give me the email address you used so I can easily find your payment.

If I do not have enough volunteers cancel, I will go in order of $ received and go down the list until I'm out. If I don't have enough ready to fill the remaining orders, they will be be refunded.

I'm so sorry to have to do this, but there have just been so many things working against me, and now this. I'm frustrated and angry, but it's not fair to all of you to have to continue to wait on me.

Melissa,
I am so sorry to here about your back, my wife just got over a spell with her back. We have both learned that it takes us a week of rest then a week of taking it easy before we are back to pretty much normal.
I will volunteer to cancel my order, just tear up the check I sent.

Melissa,

I am honestly in absolutely no rush to get any from you. If you aren't able to dig anything for a few months, that's fine by me as I wouldn't get them in the ground until late October or November anyhow. If it gets to that point, I could either travel over there and help dig, or just forego the offer, it would be entirely up to you.

Melissa, I'm so sorry! I know how hard you tried to get these dug, and I'm so sorry you threw your back out in the process. You need to take care of yourself and put your energy into teaching now! You already know I can wait until "whenever." :-)

You may be surprised at how many orders you can fill with the clumps you've dug, once you get them separated! Do you have a "soil knife" like the one AK Leonard sells? That's the best thing I've found for separating DLs and hostas...

If and when you are able to dig, I would like some if you have any left. Just keep us updated. Take care, I know what a bad back feels like.

Hi all,

I've issued refunds to all. I am so sorry, I'm full of excuses, I know, but there were just too many things working against me this year. If anyone wants a LUMP of daylilies, let me know, because that is about all I have to offer. When I tried to separate, they just look so bad, I don't want to send anyone something that I would not want to get myself.

If you paid by paypal, your refund should already be there. Only one person said they wanted their check returned by mail... if anyone else does, let me know now.

What do you get for a "lump", just a clump of 1 kind of Daylily?

Melissa - It sounds like you need a daylily divider tool:
