Anyone have an Idea of what this could be , lost tag ,

Curious. The main rosette reminds me of perennial lobelias, but the runners don't.

Is this the part you are calling the rosette?


If so, to my old eyes it looks like this part is a different plant than the one producing the runners.

It is the part I am calling the rosette , and it is all the same plant , That is why I am asking , 40 years of gardening , have seen a few plants that do that , none come to mind, I am at a loss to ideas of where to look ,
Lobelelia , Campanula , come close .

Do you remember if it was purchased as a perennial, or is it a house plant?

Purpleinopp The plant grew on it's own from some Feverfew seeds , So from the seeds or earth mix is where it came from

So the clue is that we haven't got a clue! :+) I'm curious with you!

Were the Feverfew seeds from a commercial source? or from a trade with another gardener? Hopefully if from another gardener, we can search their plant list for some clues.

Only some of the leaves are dark green and waxy , the others exactly as it looks in the ID photo ,,
Unless it blooms ,I guess in two months or so , I dig one up and bring it in this winter , I suppose it could be some kind of Aster with the clumping form of it , ? Only I am lost with this one ... There is even the the possibility of some kind of Ajuga , I think someone mentioned that though ?

Ajuga Genevensis ? I think maybe ? Bloom ? bloom ? bloom?

Probably not Ajuga genevensis since the leaves look nothing like your plant.

In this photo caption the 'same plant of course' that gets my attention.
The photo shows leaves and runners but it does not show the connection back to the 'mother' plant. I want to jump into the computer screen and get a closer look.

Still not convinced that your NOID plant is only one plant. I believe there are actually two plants unaccounted for... look at my cropped images #5 and #6 and compare them to #7. I think the runners are coming from #5 and #6 as the leaves seem to match.

Whenever you decide to dig up the plants itwould be great to see some new images of each individual plant. I don't mind being wrong, but I just hate when things that are unsolved. How will I ever sleep tonight?

1 silver maple pulled as weed
2 Dead Nettle , gets into everything I set out , pulled also as weed
3 Feverfew . grew from old seeds ,, same as where unidentified came from


The difference of 5, 6 , & 7 is there ,
I cannot put an exact on the one or ones I want or am trying to Identify ,
A lot of leaf difference there

So I guess we wait for a bloom? I would hate for you to uproot the plant (or 2 plants?) without knowing if it is a valuable addition to your garden.

Yes, foraygardengirl) the leaves do have a thicker appearance , That is one reason I let it grow , leaves thicker than usual weed type plants , not as heavy as usual cacti or succulents

That is about right for lewisia leaves. If it flowers, you will know for sure.

Do lewisia have runners like that with lil plantlets, I know their blooms kinda do that

I have not seen them on my lewisia, but mine were planted in between rocks so they might not have been able to do that. I agree with previous posts that the runners are likely a different plant. In the end, this is just a guess/possibility anyway.
