I'm attempting to put my collection back together, I've done a decent job but I'm still missing many plants that I really liked, and others I've not tryied!

My main interest are aroids, colocasia, ALOCASIA, amorphophallus, other voodoo lilys.
Also really like banana trees!
Most any bulb producing tropical that get brig leaves, grows fast and easy, and be stored away for winter is great with me!
I'm also very interested in haworthia, agave and aloe, or other wood lilys!

Anything hardy with big leaves, is a huge plus!

My list is not upto date yet, I'll try to work on it soon!

I have quite a few interesting plants to offer!
Please tree mail me for trades, I'm ALWAYS actively looking for more new plants, and love to trade!

Can you grow bananas in KY?
My aunt lives in KY, she said she has had a very successful time with passion fruit..

I just moved back to tn from kauai, I could try and see if any of my friends could send some tropical seeds of different sorts and get to u. .. Thumbs up

Terribly sorry about the move!

Summer around here CAN be as tropical as it gets! Daily rain and temps around 90... It's just the other 6 months than are tricky up here!

Passiflora incarnata is a downright pest for me!
I started some cuttings a few years back and they've taken over! About a foot down there's a network of roots that sucker, 3 cuttings have turned into a 8'x30' swath that the passies own, they run and pop up anywhere they want! I just pull em up and jam them in pots, they root right up! I've spread alot of them around!

Sadly, very few plants I'm interested in, can legally come here from Hawaii, and vice versa, I can't send them stuff either...
I'm not so good with seeds, and need plants that can easily be stored for our icy winters.
Thus I'm mainly looking for plants that grow from a bulb or tuber.

I wish I was surrounded by taro.
It is such a magical plant...
A lot of people on the islands believe that the positive energy we put out there goes through the taro and spreads through the rest of the world... idk if you know about it, but the root has like crystals in it, it's beautiful and though poisonous it can be cooked and rid of poison and is sustainable. My husband and I lived in the kalalau valley and had to hike far to get back and forth and once didn't want to leave and ran out of food and lived off taro.
Its such a trip looking back now.

(I apologize if my text is sloppy, I'm on a mobile phone)

I have Agaves. At least one that would be hardy in your zone, Agave parryi truncata (artichoke agave).
I also extra of my black stem colocasia. If interested . . . what do you have to trade?

I bring my agaves in, it's so wet here that it's very hard to get them through our winters, BUT as a test I tried and was able to get several to survive outside that are rated as hardy in zone 8!
I had to cover a large mounded area with plastic, but it worked!

Black stem colocasia can mean... Well... A lot of different things...
If we can ID it or at least determine if it's one I don't have, then I'd love to trade for some, same with agave, if you have ones that I don't then a trade would be good.
You can check my list, it's incomplete, but will give you an idea.

I need to go but please tree me, or I'll tree you!

Thank you very much for the response!

I'm covered up in konjac!
Maybe as many as 7-8 different forms... Assuming that they all survive, that is...at this point, that's not an assumption I'm taking... A few that I found this year were badly neglected and I rescued them from their owner, my fingers are crossed they pull through winter. They are rediculously tolerant of abuse.

I haven't dug any up this year but if I could sell pups for half that, I'd be set!

Thumb of 2015-08-24/Swayback/eb6b76

I expect this one to be pushing 10 pounds this year.
