Is there a site you all recommend for floral supplies? Also, fresh flowers and greenery? I have a lot available locally of course but it might sometimes be nice to be able to order something specific.

It has been several years since I've ordered from them, but Orchids Direct was a nice source for cut flowers from all over the world.

Paul - your arrangement with the barbed wire made me flinch, then I thought it really might go well with roses or maybe Spanish bayonets. Liked the yellow irises, although I would have liked the copper tubing carefully curved into circles that you fed the irises through. Probably a hangover from the years I had to steam trace big pipes for a chemical engineering project - no kinks allowed. Nice work on the tall wood with red and gold irises. Congrats.

Hetty - I liked your arrangement with the monstera leaf. Very dramatic and nice backdrop for the flowers.

paul, please do continue to show us your arrangements! they are beautiful!
what's funny, is that i liked the very first barbed wire arrangement the best - the juxtaposition is quite shocking :).
i went to philly flower show and have some pics of their ikebana arrangements that i can put up here instead of tour forum - to add some activity.
i would love to arrange more, but as i do not have a cutting garden and don't have a good supplier next door , it's not so easy.
of course, manhattan is just 20 min away - and there are plenty of shops for flower arrangers with stock that is just amazing. but they sell everything in bunches of 6-12...so it's impossible to make just one bouquet.

should i go and pop a new thread?

@Paul2032 Saw your mention of the being able to buy past Vision of Beauty calendars and tried the website but all I find are the 2015-7 ones. Can you see if I am missing something?

I wish this forum was more active too. I am sure you know that Artistic Designers has folded, but I have thought of contacting the remaining living ex-members to see if they had digital photos they could post.

Have always enjoyed your arrangements and wish I was as clever as you. With all of the stress of the past few years, I haven't even done any arranging for myself. Even though the stress level is down considerably, I still am not inspired.
