Now that it is August, I am wondering about over wintering my favs. Do you have a greenhouse or do you cut these beauties back? I have been gifted with some nice ones and have to many to bring in. Some have gotten very large.

Will they live in an unheated GH? As long as you keep it above freezing. Maybe I should invest in one. I love tropicals but this time of year is perplexing for a zone 6 collector. Help please. Rolling my eyes.

Oh, I love your stairs! What a lovely collection and a good way to display them!

Mine are all containerized, living in the tundra it makes it easier. I wait until the first hard frost than cut back all of the stalks and place the containers in the basement. The basement stays around the mid 50s, approx 1 to 2x a month I give them some water depending on the size of the container 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Come spring out they come, I have had success with this for the past 5 years. The Thailand Giant is new this year, so thinking the same program should work.
