And that is the dilemma. You sometimes have to decide if it is worth the gamble to buy and see. Sometimes it is so good and sometimes it just never works for you!

Amen to that Claudia!

I have Raspberry Beret. Got it from a generous member here. It does not do well for me because the blooms have a hard time opening up and it is a rust bucket. I just built a new raised bed for my few named/registered daylilies (that I have been lucky to acquire from some wonderful members here and from a nursery going out of business). RB will be planted right in the middle of that new bed. Why? Because she will be my rust indicator! I need rusty plants to expose the plants around them. This will help show me which plants really do have some rust resistance and which ones are susceptible. For me, it will aid in my hybridizing for rust resistance and be the standard for rust susceptibility rating to compare all others to.

See ... some plants can serve a purpose even ones that don't perform well for you. Thumbs up

I would love to have some Floyd's Cove's 2015 introductions, including....

1. My Friend Phil
2. Halloween Effect
3. Supreme Team
4. Byzantine Smile

I just love edges and eyes...the fancier, the better. Each of those cultivars are between $150.00-$200.00 each right now:(

My wish list is one that I may actually attain in about 4 years or so when the price goes down to reasonable levels. Until then it's definitely a wish list (and if anyone grows these and can tell me they have faults, please do so).

1. Buffalo Thunder - Does this ever go down in price?
2. When Royals Dream
3. English Skies

Maryl,

We could only hope! But with almost 8" blooms on 42" scapes, that has 6 way branching with 36-40 blooms. It may be a minute before it does. Not to mention, it is B-E-A-utiful! Lovey dubby

I have to be honest, I have/had no idea of the price of any on my wish list except Margo Reed Indeed. It is still in the $40 range. After all, it is a Wish List! Whistling

Claudia, I think I have a Wish Garden lol. It would take thousands of dollars to do what I imagine in my mind. Coming down to reality, I work with what I have. It isn't magnificent but it makes me happy. Nothing like sitting outside early, drinking a cup of coffee, admiring all the beauty that God has made.

I agree I agree I think that exactly many times when I am in my garden.

Claudia watch the Lily Auction I think that Margo Reed Indeed is often listed at a much lower price.

I met Ms Margo Reed this summer at Region 10. I have a picture somewhere of her and a friend on garden bench in one of the tour gardens. A very delightful lady. I really should add some of her plants now.

I also really want some Curt Hanson's and more reds and patterns!

Ashton/Terri, Next year I'll likely have a bunch. I've been focusing on reds quite a bit and now I have a whole slew of them (Olallie Red, Fear Not, Matchless Fire, Ruby Spider, Palace Guard, Tom Wise, etc...). Well, a whole slew as compared to the overall number of daylilies I own, which is only about twenty- to thirty-ish right now. I need more of Curt Hanson's stuff, too, though. I love the saturated colors.

Stan -- Buffalo Thunder looks amazing! You have me kind of wanting it now, too.

Pat -- what does My Friend Phil look like? There isn't much info at all in the database.

Okay, I think I have a wishlist forming. I want to get whiter whites and deeper reds and purples, so I'm drooling over Harmon Hill's Intro Page.

My Wishlist (of the moment):

But I Repeat Myself and/or Early and Often

Seeker of Light

Clarity of Purpose

Ice Trumpets

Indelible Blood and/or O Positive

Venous Blood

Margo Reed, Indeed

Creature of the Night
