It is strange; pink is not one of my favorite colors, however it is great for iris & other pink flowers. If I were younger I would try for pink amoena SDBs.

I love pink irises!!!!!!! I remember the first time I saw a pink iris I thought it must be the most valuable/scarce/unique iris ever grown. That being said if I had only one color growing it would be blue, not lavender or purple but blue.

My favorite drink is diet Coke, my favorite ice cream is vanilla. Luckily I don't need to limit my self to one color of iris and some favorites are difficult to call one color.....Haunted Heart, Reckless Abandon, Brouhaha. I do love pinks like Hollywood Star and Plicatas like Ink Patterns and on and on Shrug!

Bonnie, it was much the same for me, I think that rare, exotic quality is still there for me and makes the pink ones so exciting and beautiful to me. I also would be the same if I could only have one color iris, it would be blue- there are just so few flowers in true blue shades (and a lot of pinks in the flower world).

Yes, looking at "Beverly Sills" in the sun was incredible. But now that I think of it, in looking at my Iris rhizome List, I think I have more Pinks than I thought I did. Confused

That's the great thing about irises. They are so varied in color and style that even if you do have a color you don't like there are tons of varieties in colors besides that one. There is not an iris color that I don't like which explains why it takes me forever to decide which ones to order. Big Grin I don't think I've ever seen an ugly iris bloom

I had the darndest time trying to find a "Yellow" Iris for my garden. I still haven't picked one yet. So I guess I will have to wait until next year and chose then. I must have looked at 20 different Yellow Irises and couldn't pick one. I like reading Reviews by growers who have grown different irises, you learn a lot that way. So, I'm still on the hunt for that one perfect "Yellow" Iris.

Where do you find reviews from different growers? I have never seen that! AND I love pink irises and have quite a few. Of course, I love lots of other colors too, especially peach and blue.

The Reviews are from the individuals who grow them in their gardens. I use DAVESGARDEN.COM
and look up the Iris I'm interested in and see if there are any reviews by growers.

Ok, here are some of the Yellow Iris I have looked at and considered, but haven't made a decision on yet :

* Alice Harding
* Ola Kala

Maybe I should just get them all Smiling Hurray!
