Whew! No doubt there are hotter places where I am. They would probably have fine luck with cuttings now too, in whatever conditions the mama plants do well in their locations.
I've stuck some pieces in way less than all-day sun, a few in just a couple hours of morning sun. Seems to be enough for blooming, if one doesn't mind a relaxed/dangling attitude. They eventually do that on the ground or in a pot anyway (if one ever stops snipping off the long stems, like I've still been doing.) All spring/summer/fall, this plant is always there for me when I just vaguely need to snip & propagate something. Winter attempts haven't been so great. Not necessary, but, u know, I got bored.
