Now that the plant has a name is it ok to ask on this thread about transplanting? I'd wait until dormancy this fall. Do you think it would survive a moving?

Here in MD, rudbeckia is extremely robust and would most definitely survive being transplanted.

Thank you, Catmint, for your advice. I will give it a try. A few blooms are opening, but it sure is not the robust plant I am used to.
