Apparently we are getting spill-over of your heat wave, Cheryl. 100F today with a heat index of 112F according to the weather people. About the same for the following three days!

The vast majority of my Plumeria are in full sun, and with 3-4 dozen of them, there is nothing I can really do to shade them (other than the 4-5 that get some shading in the raised garden). They'll just have to survive as is. Sighing!

@Ken, do you have an EZ Up shade tent? Maybe you can erect one over some of your tre-es? IDK your set up but I actually thought of using ours but then the cars couldn't get through. Around here at the sproting goods store you can get a 10x 10' for about $49. they have larger of course. If the Heat Wave is coming your way (the high system) then brace yourself. Today it will be 102 then we will start breaking records for a few days. The hottest temps haven't even reached us yet! Forecast to break a record at 106ยบ on Tuesday. I hate to think of what the Heat Index (Feels -Like) will be!

I actually use a 10x10' EZ Up tent for football tailgating. There is really no way to use it though. It would cover too much of my vegetables that need full sun if I set it up in the raised garden, and most of the other plumeria (2-3 dozen) are spread over a 50' area, scattered throughout my landscape. None of the plumeria are really showing any sign of distress with the sun and heat so long as I keep them all well watered and properly potted.
