My NOL is making nice leaves while being maintained indoors. I discovered a leaf had been munched by probably a caterpillar. I found the likely culprit all cocooned on a nearby plant.

After very few flowers here and there in January and February, my New Orleans Lady has a really nice flush of blooms going this week. After being knocked down by the wind, and abused by the 40ish cold, because she's way too big to cover up, I feel forgiven. Thankfully more of the flowers are now doubles as well, although I still have some branches with all singles. Blinking Confused

Some more intensely colored ones on NOLady today. It's in more shade, and warmer temperatures, maybe?

After sitting out last year and most of this year, New Orleans Lady has begun to bloom again! Soon it will become that glorious orange color!

Uh, I think it was a careless garden helper, who meant well. But she yanked it out then didn't re-plant it promptly. It was declining anyway - they get problems with fusarium wilt here, unfortunately - so she may have thought it was time to move on, I don't know. Wish I'd been able to salvage some cuttings but it was dead as a doornail when I got home from a grandma trip last spring.

I'll buy another one when I get the chance, I do love that pretty thing. All I have going in the way of Brugs right now is a huge, healthy plant of Milk 'n Honey that is happy and blooms about once a month for me. It's obviously planted in the "right place" which is really half the battle here.

I may have to prune my plant to get it in the garage at the end of the month. You're welcome to the cuttings if you wanted to pay for postage.

Thanks, I have a friend that has a start from mine, I hope it's still alive. I'll check with her first for a cutting.

Did you score a cutting, Elaine?

My plant is blooming like crazy indoors in the sunroom this winter. It is heavenly when the flowers release the citrusy fragrance at about 6 p.m.

Not yet, but my friend's plant will be big enough to give me a start in the spring. She hasn't exactly grown it a lot this summer, with family troubles so I'll wait until she's ready to prune it a bit.

Yours is gorgeous. I have my Milk 'n Honey blooming regularly (just finished) so not having to do without the lovely scent.

This one is my all time favorite. She looks great and smells wonderful. I had one for many years. Then it died and I got another cutting. It is doing fine, still my favorite. Hurray!

Yes, I love it but lost mine a year or so ago, when we were on vacation and the irrigation failed during the late spring hot weather.

I must find another new one.
