Uh, I think it was a careless garden helper, who meant well. But she yanked it out then didn't re-plant it promptly. It was declining anyway - they get problems with fusarium wilt here, unfortunately - so she may have thought it was time to move on, I don't know. Wish I'd been able to salvage some cuttings but it was dead as a doornail when I got home from a grandma trip last spring.
I'll buy another one when I get the chance, I do love that pretty thing. All I have going in the way of Brugs right now is a huge, healthy plant of Milk 'n Honey that is happy and blooms about once a month for me. It's obviously planted in the "right place" which is really half the battle here.
