I do have a plan to make a smaller "child" later out of tin cans. I'm not sure if it will be a boy or a girl though. It will be riding a itty, bitty, bicycle I picked up in a discard heap.

I have had a lot of fun with these junk "art" creations. The reactions from my neighbors has been great and when they have visitors, they walk them down here to the end of the drive to get a better look. They also get big smiles from delivery truck drivers.

Most reactions have been funny, but the best was from my mother. She said, "You got your artistic streak from your father." LOL it was not a compliment She also said she "wouldn't want them in her yard, or her neighbors, for that matter." Mom is very honest in her opinions.

I have the PERFECT thing for a cradle....it's one of those antique oval canners. Has the insert, but the bottom has rusted out. Too bad I'm in Florida as it would likely cost a small fortune to ship to California. Anybody going on vacation from one coast to the other who wants to play delivery truck

I have never been a mid-wife, much less to a Tin family.

I talked to Lizzy this morning and she said she is pretty naive on the subject, but she said she "thinks" the babies drop out from under her skirt and can be anywhere from infancy to a teenager at birth. Also, they do not grow bigger as human babes do. The only way to gauge their age is by the amount of rust they accumulate over the years.
