Sighing! Would it be possible to have some kind of general tutorial for newbies at ATP that would cover all the basic issues we may have? Things like all places pictures may be up loaded, how to add plants in a generic fashion when one has no cultivar, criteria and how to for adding "useful" comments, what constitutes useful and any other basic stuff that makes it fun to come here. I know it all seems very intuitive to people who have been here for a while but it seems a little difficult to beginners. OR if such a thing already exists, could it be pointed out to me. Confused

People have been very kind in trying to instruct me on the forum, Thank You! but the when I follow up I find myself still confused. In fact, I still don't know where to look for information on the "cultivar" that may be applicable. Most of my plants a traded with friends or collected WILD seed from various nature walks.

It's okay to ask questions. That's how we learn.
Trish has added tons of information in the form of 'Stickies' in the Welcome and Help Center. I would suggest you start there. After that, just take your time and learn as you go. It's a big, beautiful site and it will take some time to learn the ropes. Thumbs up

Edited to add:
I forgot to say that if you use Control F with a key word as you search pages you can find what you are looking for without having to read all the words.

In addition to that, I'm starting to make video tutorials on how to use some of the feature of the site. You can view them by clicking on the youtube link in the footer of the site. Just scroll to the bottom and you'll see it.

If you have a specific area of the site you'd like a tutorial on, let me know and I'll push it to the front of the list.

It's a good idea to go slow and take your time to learn all that ATP has to offer. Learning is what it's all about! Thumbs up
