@dirtdorphins - Once again you can see the effect of the recent storms on another butterfly. Many have battle scars. But they carry on! They are an inspiration. And thank you for the acorn!

Now that the boyfriend has moved along, this longhorn beetle is actually pollinating instead of propagating. Still laughing about that one!

Another pollinator, though not a butterfly or a bee. Some type of wasp, but just lovely. Seems to really be enjoying the tiny blooms on the Texas Vervain (Verbena Halei).

I like those thread-waisted wasps--fascinating!
I only ever see them on the little tiny flowers--they must have short tongues.

and yes, it is so very affirming that you don't need a pair of perfect wings to fly!
I can still walk, so I'm gonna hobble off to bed now and try again tomorrow
