Mine are voles. I have learned to find what they did not eat and plant that again. My hosta bed is gone, only to find a few sprout up here and there I am happy each year if my lilies come back..lol

We have tons of chipmunk, but mainly plant daffodil because of the deer. Perhaps they go next door for meals.

I had one rescued from my son's property.....he was clearing trees there....it lasted 2 or 3 years in my shade garden, but then died out.....

I have a small trillium. We had the grandiflora in the garden while I was a child. I am very fond of them. Need to order a jack in the pulpit--the North American one.

We also have ginger in the shade garden. You must look under the leaves to see the flowers.

They are purple & way underneath the leaves. I don't see them any more as I can't bend that far. ☺
