The nice thing is that I got the whole clumps for a fraction of the price of a named cultivar
And the hybridizer said that, if I want to, I can name and register them
I might just do that
I'll wait until next Fall and they have settled and flowered a season (or perhaps until the year after that), but I have already reserved an name with the AHS : Mayo's Bella Donna
(did I mention that I'm not the patient type..?
)
It will be named in remembrance of my dog Bella, who died 2 years ago
She was a real Diva: didn't want to get wet, hated to get dirty, wanted the best spot on the couch (mine
) and loved french cheese
Her nickname was Bella Donna (beautiful lady) and she is sorely missed..
I'm thinking naming a DL after her would be a nice touch.
Perhaps one of these? We'll see
