I seem to recall that these corms need to be soaked in water before planting. Is this correct?

Thanks. I did just that. My mother says they also have to be planted on their sides, but that's not
something I did. First, it's hard to tell which would be the side. Second, I didn't know that before
I planted them Shrug!

No; you're probably right, but in my zeal to post my question, I just called them corms along with the others.
Either way, they both (De Caen and Blanda) got soaked before planting.
