dahlianut said:Tip for the Horror of Glue: fine sandpaper is good for taking the glue off fingers, the wall, the counter and the floor. I will keep updating this tip as I keep accidently gluing other stuff.

Dahlia, everytime I read this, I say 'ouch'. Please don't sandpaper your poor little fingers. I did a research for us and it is unanimous,(even from the fire department, acetone-based nail-polish remover gets it off without any damage.

1.Do not attempt to tear or force apart the glue. This could rip your skin.
2 Apply acetone-based nail-polish remover to the area. The acetone breaks down the bond.
3 If there's a lot of glue on your skin, soak the skin in nail-polish remover to dissolve the bond.
4 Clean the area with soap and water after removing the glue.

Dahlia, I thought about you yesterday. Lovey dubby I was at Walmart picking up more E6000 and saw an "Elmer's" product - Adhesive Remover on the same shelf!! Hilarious! I thought it might come in handy but when I saw the price - $6.97! - I nixed the thought. Thumbs down

Debbie, thanks for the tip! I tip my hat to you. I'll be picking up some nail polish remover instead! Thumbs up
