Yep. My wife said NO MORE Tropicals. So to please her, I am gonna buy a Palm tree. I will convince her that when it gets real big, she can lie under it and I will bring her a drink with a little umbrella. Rolling on the floor laughing

Dragonfruits? Hubby should love those. Heh nodding They are rather outrageous looking and get HUGE. You ARE aware if tht - right?

Way I did it was ask DW "Ever have Dragonfruit?"
"No"
Me "Well - you will have a chance" (as I said under my breath in several years. hehe)

Then I related how I bought one of those stoopid grafted cactus and ripped the top off. Before she could complain, I explained how I had tried to root the top after I ripped it off and why they have weird colors and explained how the thing grows and pointed it out to her - near my cactus collection grown from seed. By this point she asked me what was on TV tonight. Heh Green Grin!

Another purchase well doene. Rolling on the floor laughing

Haha David! distractions! I would go off talking about how my plants are doing and what I'm going to do with them...he tells me that I'm putting him to sleep. Blinking Hilarious! Sighing!

These are the picture she sent me I tip my hat to you.

A little over a year ago, my first Brugmnsia was 14 inches tall. It fit nicely on my deck and in the basement where I stored it over winter.

It is now pushing 7 feet and fits nicely on my deck. Will let you know in a few weeks about the basement.

Blinking <wink> nodding

Yours in a couple of years. Explain this to hubby. Green Grin! Green Grin!

Due to where my Ys are, I would have to do a lot of re-rooting. They are very, very high. I may just do that, but I should have done it 6 weeks ago. Not now. I may do it in the basement once it gets used to indoors.

Would someone please describe the texture and sweetness of the dragonfruit? Last month someone at the village market had a couple for $6.00 a piece. I was tempted, but did not buy because if I didn't like it then I would have wasted my money.

Inner texture kind of reminds me of kiwi, but it is reddish pink and tastes sweeter than kiwi. Very juicy, so watch your clothes when you eat it, it can easily stain it.
