I have, John. I have called, emailed and visited them and when I got no results I even, very politely, asked for the contact information of their supplier. They just told me they would check and get back to me. it will just be a beautiful noid that lives in my garden.

John, over the years I've moved on to loving a
wider spectrum of irises, but it was the broken
colors that got me started.

For a third today, - I've had this one for 30 years,
and, because it grows like a weed, I
probably take it too much for granted!

Jan, thanks. This year we planted a bunch of Blyth, Ghio, Sutton and Keppel multi colored. Our wish list for next year is already in our browser bookmarks so come the first week in Jan we'll put in our 2016 orders.

Jan - yes, I am finding that Milestone is a very good grower too! And that is a lovely shot of Tiger Honey. First bloomed for me this year and it is a really pretty iris.

Jane - wonderful shot of Nouveau Riche. Have you added it to the database?

Bonnie - love the NoID SDB. The veining reminds me of Blyth ones like Awake, and several of Don Spoon's.

Not sure I know how to add images to the database. I do love Nouveau Riche though. The pic would be better without the AC in background.

Trust me Jane - no one is looking at the AC. I didn't really notice it until you said something.

If you click to open your picture, then you can click on the blue message "import to database", and follow the instructions.

You can also go to the iris's listing in the database, then click on "upload a photo" which you will find under "adding actions" on the left side of the page. Then you can upload the pic straight from your computer, tablet, etc.

I really liked Best Bet. It died out a couple of years back and I haven't yet replaced it.

Lucy, thanks so much for the info. I love English history and Beaufort is an important family. Nice to get the back story on the iris! Hurray!

Mary Ann. Where are you?????? , Whistling I know you have pretties to share.

So, should I make themes to this post? Like "for today, shown us bonus iris" or do you all prefer posting your preferences for the day? Tomorrow I will continue with bonus iris because I still have many that knocked my socks off. Vendors have a knack for picking right - no more so than this year when many of them picked complimentary iris to those I ordered, or knew me well enough to add Burseen's, Blyths, or medians. I was really blessed this year.

I'm here -- loving all the pictures -- drooling over many. Just haven't had much time on the computer today. Got lots of good work done today in Iris Lane. Feeling the aches and pains because of it, but happy all the same!! I've got half of it done, on the back side!!! Hurray!

I'm gonna get back to this thread Leslie -- don't you worry -- and once I get started, look out!!!! So far, I've got three days worth of pictures owed, right?? Rolling my eyes.

I'm going with some oddballs today.

'Subtle Beauty'
I may be losing this one to Mustard Seed Fungus... When it bloomed, I wasn't sure I liked it, but it really grew on me, and it bloomed like crazy in a pot.

Another in the oddly colored genre is 'Stardust Dragon'

I may need to a wait until this makes a decent-sized clump to fully appreciate it. 'Chenille'

This is Fancy Dress, the first luminata I bought. It's a very good grower for a luminata, and always very showy. (I've been posting the ones that are consistently good growers and bloomers)
