I have a Violet Stem that has runners. I twist the ends that have babies back around to the mother plant. Which is a good thing since DH took out the mother with his truck backing up.
I can't complain too loud he had bought some pea gravel for my pathways.

@Kabby thank you and does your Jack's Giant have huge leaves? I have one that gets as tall as the eves of the house but the leaves are not really big im wondering if it really is a Jack's

Charles, I just did a bit of research and discovered Jack's Giant is named for the hybridizer, Jack de Vroomen, one of the owners of Marlboro Bulb Co in Greenwood. Who knew?

@papa Charles I don't think my Jack's Giant has reached it's full potential yet. It had unlimited water this summer but didn't get fertilized as much as it should have. I'd say the leaves were 3 1/2 feet long and the height of the plant was over 5 ft.
