Weedwhacker said:Andi, unfortunately I don't have seeds of it to share at the moment -- but consider trying "King Arthur" (formerly called Fat n' Sassy -- which was maybe not politically correct?? ); that variety is a consistently great producer for me!

Edited to say: Christine, I don't see any Rudbeckias in your list, either??

Lol! I think if they can have a tomato called "monkey's ass", fat n' sassy should be okay. Big Grin

I can't disagree with that, DND ! I really wonder why they had to change the name of that pepper??

At any rate, it's a really nice big bell, green turning to red.

@gardenquilts the teatime were a dark pink color.

I'll look to see what happened with the rudbeckias.

Not to mention those naughty hot peter peppers

I wouldn't even think of trying King Arthur peppers because I don't have an English type climate.

Is anyone interested in plain rudbeckia hirta or echinacea purpurea? I'll list them if you want. I figured people were interested in the fancy hybrids instead of the old faithfuls.

LOL, Andi -- I'm pretty sure i don't have an "English type climate" either (maybe more like a North Pole type climate) Hilarious!

I'd be happy to have any sort of Rudbeckia!

It's funny you should ask that. I was debating today whether to pull seeds from mine (the precious one or two that I have) or enjoy the winter interest of the seedy flower heads. If you have seeds harvested already, I would probably snatch a pack up.

OK. Now that I am caught up with the packs and labels, I am digging into the seed box. They are from my old garden in 2013, but they winter sowed this year but didn't flower.

I had a big stand in my old garden. I saved seeds when I moved. I had the echinacea, rudbeckia and Shasta Daisy Alaska planted together. I am repeating the combo here. The seeds are under B for black eyed susan and P for purple coneflower.

I am making generous packs because they older. I have lots of echinacea so they are extra generous, but they do have a bit of chaff.

Laugh of the day spell checker suggests machete for echinacea. I need to check around for better spell checker add-ons.

I set out two more packets of

'Meraviglia Di Venezia'
Yellow Roma-type POLE bean.
Phaseolus vulgaris

Listed as Common Bean now, but I think alphabetizing under "B for Bean".

The system is working great - amazingly smooth for a beta! Alphabetizing by latin names would an improvement to the swap.

Thank you for posting them! I'm excited I get to leave my echinacea alone for the winter. (We just got 10 inches of snow and it highlighted how neat echinacea looks in the winter compared to everything else. )

Did you mean Luvsgreatdanes? She said she added a mix of rust color and yellow rudbeckias.

I haven't looked for them.

I put out a few more pkts each of these greens that ran out:

- Spinach (Spinacia oleracea 'Monstrueux De Viroflay')
- Butterhead Lettuce (Lactuca sativa 'May Queen')
- Bok Choy (Brassica rapa "Sweet") F1
- Holland Greens (Brassica rapa 'Tyfon')
- Amaranth, Red, edible leaves

I'd also like to "pimp" this Italian Swiss chard. 16 pkts offered.
Reviewers seemed to think it was half way between spinach and chard, but would grow all summer, so I bought the BIG packet!
