Brad - You do some really nice work. The soft colors and ruffles make quite a nice combination. Some of these do need to find their way to the market. Well done!!

I agree with Tom - like the last one best. Nice salmon color glow coming off the standards.

I think the last seedling is the most outstanding. I love the color and the hints of other shades peeking out. I also love the picture of Italian Master.
Town Flirt will definitely get moved after the spring. I hope it blooms as the picture in MA catalog is just gorgeous.

Magical grows well here too, very good increaser and steady bloomer. Not to mention it's beautiful!

I did this cross looking for Brown's and Orange's was curious if the color of Jealous Guy would show up in it's kids it is another plant I have Loved since first seeing it in Oregon at Keppel's very unique color and good grower here only 3 bloomed out of 38 plants so hoping something cool blooms next year. I did like the bright beards on these Smiling

I'm glad you guys all like the last one it was my favorite too of the group too and the only one I kept.

Mary Ann & Rob... Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Hilarious!

John.. Thank You !!

Jan.. That's awesome you have seeds will be looking forward to the pictures Smiling we just started soaking ours this week. If your seeds have been in the fridge for 7 weeks it's time to get them in the dirt you want to get them planted before the roots start showing they will grow through the paper towels if left too long.

Lucy.. It does wonderful here Smiling

Jane.. I don't have Town Flirt but remember seeing it in Oregon it is very pretty Smiling

Sherry.. I was there the last day of the show so got to see all the display's and was impressed you have a really good group of people there.. if my house is done by April hopefully I can make it back to visit you guys during bloom season Santa Cruz is awesome that time of the year !!
This seedling of Joe's would have gotten my vote it was Gorgeous Big Grin

This was the last cross done with Magical that bloomed this year.. I used Paul Black's plant (Wicked Good) it is another one I really like the colors of it and was curious if I could get some Blue's with Magical's ruffles from it as you can tell from the pictures it didn't work out that way Smiling still lot's of these that didn't bloom but don't think I will find what I'm looking for here.

Since crosses produce so many variations I find it fascinating that all three of these crosses carried the bright orange beards. Must be a dominate trait.

Think I like the form of the second one best, but with this cross I like both of the parents better. But then, both parents are outstanding!

Deb & Maryann.. I certainly had some surprises but thats what makes this exciting with the complex pedigrees of the more recent introductions from these guys you don't know what you will get when crossing them together and it could be a awesome assortment of colors and patterns or Duds's but it's a lot of fun to find out.

Leslie.. I agree both parents are far better but what intrigues me with this cross and a few others like it is.. I have a decent plant that bloomed with a good pedigree, the 2nd one you liked had a good stem and bud count, it was a nice flower with ruffles and had pretty much everything I wanted but the color, it is a mix of them both genetically so the question is will the next generation if I crossed it onto something else that had Browns or Oranges in it give me what I want and what plant or plants would give me the best chance to bring out the blend of colors I'm after but still keep all the other things intact. Smiling Hoping to spend some cold January days going through pedigrees in our database to come up with a plan.

From the Magical X Wicked Good cross, you got some really nice near pink beards! I especially like number 3. I hope it was good in other ways, and that you continue to work on that pink beard with a blue falls. Smiling
I made one cross with Wicked Good last year, only one seed grew, and it died over winter.

I'm surprised by the kinds of kids Comes The Dawn X Superhero made.
