What a sense of humor! Thumbs up

And here I was just this morning wondering how old you are Jon. I was thinking 16 or thereabouts. Now I know for sure.

Have a good evening M. We are looking at cloudy and rain for Sunday.

Still lots of confusion and not many answers on DG... I did not particularly like the reference to the programming....

"My guess - and I've said this before - I'm no programmer, but my best guess is that our home-brewed programming, as great as it has held up for several years, is especially difficult to "tweak" and prone to breaking in unexpected ways when we start making changes and modifications. Hence the reason we held off on changes for as long as possible. It's no longer possible to keep crippling along with outdated, brittle programming.

I don't like the effects of broken code any more than anyone else does, but after talking with the techs on the phone this afternoon, I have absolute confidence that they are doing everything within their power to fix things as quickly as humanly possible, and yes they are competent and willing to go the extra mile to make these things right. Hi M. Wichita, Kansas had a high of 66° today. For tomorrow we have a forecast which includes a severe thunderstorm watch, complete with hail and an isolated tornado, and by Sunday night we should be getting snow. I shuffled around some firewood today too so that it wouldn't get soaked tomorrow. Taxing work, that is. I'm ready for a shower, a cuppa coffee and mindless TV. Have a great evening!

Jean, I'm with you; that was uncalled for. I think Terry was just sick of being beat up on and had to vent somehow somewhere. That doesn't make it right, fair or professional.

I'm Wondering if whoever bought DG really wants it to fail so they can use it for a write off. Just my idle thoughts at work. I know nothing.

You have a nice night too. The shower is calling my name. Hear it? Hilarious!

Enjoy your shower, Patti.

I just think there was perhaps a less corrosive way to voice the current problem of interfacing their "new" with the original DG programming. As Buckaroo Bonsai says, "Don't be mean...no reason to be mean" Whistling

Yes, J. It is a science fiction, adventure, romance, comedy film directed by WD Richter with a very eclectic cast: Peter Weller, John Lithgow, Ellen Barkin, Jeff Goldblum, Christopher Lloyd, Robert Ito, Vincent Schiavelli, Clancy Brown....

1984 release and involves saving the Earth from the Red Lectroids who tried and failed in their war on Planet 10 and and were banished to the 8th Dimension, but escaped to Earth on Oct 31, 1938 and were exposed by Orson Welles in his War of the Worlds radio broadcast... Whistling
It is one of my all time favorite movies and has two wonderful lines... "Don't it make the ganglia twitch" by Lord John Whorfin (Lithgow) and "It's not my planet, Monkey Boy." by John Bigboote' (Lloyd)

That number of members is very misleading when they keep members in their list who left long ago! my name is still listed over there and I left or rather was thrown out Hilarious! for criticism on their questionable policies the time Dave and Trish left.

Okay, I had a relapse in my recovery. I went back and looked, and I am still listed as a member too. I did notice their new layout looks a lot like Houzz. Maybe they are selling to Houzz? Is this how rumors get started? I'm all ears!

Rumours are what make the world TICK, and, TOCK Hurray!
Trick is sifting through them to find the one that fits ..
I think that all of the above statements of conjecture, have credence.
I am STUCK in the muck n mire of Daves until I get my WINGS in August .. will have a decision to make then.
Have to admit, I'm kinda liking it here at ATP Thumbs up

Buckaroo Bonsai is a cult classic. That and Tank Girl (gosh, I'm embarrassed to even admit this) are two of my favorites when I want to laugh my butt off. Harold and Maude will always reign supreme as my number one cult classic. And to bring this back to gardening, there is always The Little Shop of Horrors. The DG membership pages still show people who are deceased!

Reminds me of the lyrics to Hotel California...

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! "

It had been several years since I'd renewed my DG subscription, and did so recently to reconnect with a friend who hadn't come to ATP (because I'd found out about a death in her family). From time to time I check in, and was baffled when I saw the changes! I'd even seen the warning, but using the site is confusing.

Welcome! to everyone getting to know ATP, I hope you love it here as much as I do! Awwww....kinda feels like a family reunion! LOL
