Thanks @DogsNDaylilies! I'll be offering Kaleidoscope carrots myself. But since all the colors are mixed up you can end up with a lot of one color and not so many of the others. I got a lot of yellow and orange with 1 red, a few white and no purple. A friend grew them and the first time she got the rainbow. But this year she got mostly white (all seeds were from the same pack). I figured I'd hedge my bets with getting a few seeds of red and purple just to make sure I harvest some! Smiling

Elena,

>> Any yellow alyssum.

I thought I had some "Golden Alyssum" seed, pelleted but old, but I don't see it in my seed list. I'll look for it in my Stash.

@RickCorey I have the "gold alyssum" but it is really Aurinia, not true alyssum. It is a rock garden perennial. I'm looking for a border annual. I'm thinking of doing my front yard this year in blue and yellow so I need a low-growing filler plant. Alyssum does really well for me but I have pinks and purples. I'm not sure if there is a blue alyssum but I know they have yellow. Thanks anyway!

If I can find it, I'll check what it really is. My faulty memory thinks "real Alyssum" but you're probably right.

>> I'm not sure if there is a blue alyssum

Maybe planting Lobelia very thickly would give a similar effect? It trails down in a scraggly way, and many varieties are intensely blue.

I love the pictures I've seen of blue lobelia, but I planted it too late this past year. Elena, if you're interested, I could see if I have any extra seeds leftover.

Thanks everyone! I have lots of lobelia seed but I don't find it to be a very good border plant. A little too unruly and it likes to cascade. Alyssum stays compact and fills in very nicely. It also is hardier for me in cooler and hotter temperatures. I don't mind lobelia in my backyard but even then I put it in hanging baskets where it just looks lovely!

Easy grow things I like , even when the time is there , I am not always , Three more mustard and some Brussel sprout , When time is there I will pack and offer ,
I like them with Kale and Parsley for tea ,, Gives it all a tang ,,, Not big on hot Cole slaw though ,,

Cleaning and packing seeds , Depending on if everyone takes all , some will have possibly less , others though I might add more unto ,
I won't do less than ten seeds for a vegetable though , as far as greens anyway ,

I think I will add a half dozen seeds to a couple Black Prince snapdragon seeds I still have , took a half dozen to get two going that I lost . so I will take a few and offer the rest ,
I have a hall dozen pods of purple coneflowers All my white ones I planted ,, Milkshake and white swan ,
My skills could be better at cleaning seeds also .. takes practice .

Thanks jimard8 but I just checked and Black Prince is pretty tall. I have a very small yard (back & front) so I try to grow dwarf varieties (under 12"). I don't know where I could put an 18" snapdragon. I wish I had as big a yard as most people have. Sad

As soon as I get my list and my seed bagging looking the same , I might add a few more ..
Some distortion discovery last evening I need to correct , I am not much at filing , and deciding what I will have time or ability to grow ..
Not sure still. Confused Blinking

I don't have many if any dwarf plants ,,a few ,, Shrug! One i have or had is a dwarf rose Yarrow , interesting plant , After bloom the seeds provide some interest , Kind of bland like though

Unfortunately my only wildlife is squirrels (and recently skunks). The squirrels eat the pods but only if they are starving. Otherwise they leave the daylilies alone.

I've never heard of dwarf yarrow. How big does it get?

I have grown it several times , I have never seen it over 12 inches tall ,, I had a few this past season early , Had a few for about ten years ,, This season I believe they ended as a cat problem ,, However I did see a few seeds going through my bags ,,
And it did grow true from seed ,only not vigorous for a few years

I'd definitely be interested in the yarrow! It sounds like it grows like Gaillardia. It's technically a perennial but it only lasts a year or two. It will reseed though.

I completely understand about the cat problem! I spray around my plants with Critter Ridder. It smells like pepper and garlic and cats hate it. Just don't get downwind of it while you are spraying-people hate it too!

It can be bad sometimes , pets and people care ,

I am trying to make eight of everything for those signed up , Any that I won't grow of the seeds or are not asked for I will add to those asked for , My editing is probably causing some trouble frowning in my direction , I do that trying trying correlate though .
I make few mistakes doing this , but I usually catch and correct them ,,
I guess they call that excitement ,, ooh that's bad ,, worse things to be excited about Hilarious!
