Interesting.

The patent descriptions named are for 'Charlotte's Blush', not 'Monarch Promise'. If they are the same cultivar is Monarch Promise a trade mark?

A real treat to get such information so directly, EdithEllen.

Did 'Monarch Promise' arise as a branch mutations on a single plant, which was subsequently propagated vegetatively? If not, what confirms the cultivar is certainly of mutational origin?

Was all propagation for the test year by vegetative means?

As per Danita, just read the patent document and most of my questions are answered.

And read previously that it was a branch mutation.
