Lisa, I am seeing only a gorgeous garden photo - don't see an article - is this from a public garden local to DC?

Oops, Computer Clod strikes again. What I intended to send along was the lead story in Wash Post Travel section on Monet's home in Giverny, France. The garden is known as his "other" masterpiece.

Brugmansia Dr Seuss is growing well. Began as a cutting from Donner in October.

That dr Seuss looks healthy, Lisa! Mine's dormant, sleeping in the basement.

I went to the arboretum yesterday and had a great time. I really need to go there more often! It's only about 20 minutes from me. The herb garden was awesome! I bet it's gorgeous when the perennials are in bloom.

Japanese apricot so close to bloom!

Edgeworthia buds. Not quite in bloom. This one is on my list to buy this spring.

Nice Brug! I lost my Dr Seuss. I have two Maya cuttings going, and two of a pink one. Battling mites, though. I sprayed and treated them, and they are bounding fast. crossing fingers.

nice. I loved the bonsai watering can and big pot of water, too.
Plant it and they will come.

Not only is it fun to walk the grounds, you end up exercising for miles without even realizing it! Thumbs up There were lots of families and dogs there as well.

Catmint, we even have botanical gardens in our own town! Big Grin

I'm not as thrilled about the 'exercising for miles' as some are Whistling

Like Brookside? Is that in Silver Spring?
I went there once for winter holiday lights when Katie was 5 or so. Have not been during blooming seasons!

Has turned icy cold and windy out there--I can hear the wind groaning against windows. Such a lonely sound.

Yes, Brookside is fantastic! I haven't been there recently because they've been renovating the grounds. They have a great butterfly garden that you might like!

Nothing like that up here, SSG. Thank you for sharing the photos ... Smiling

It's still too cold to work outside, but there wasn't much rain, so I really did want to go out an play.

According to the 10 forecast, it will probably be raining almost every day for the whole period. At least the temps are up by 10 degrees .. Big Grin
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

Pretty trip to the arboretum!!

I have water garden pots (aka "pocket ponds") scattered throughout the garden... they come in handy for dipping up a quick drink for a thirsty plant, or just dropping a potted plant in for a soak.
