By the way, anyone flying into Portland can take the HUT shuttle and it lets out right at the Red Lion Hotel in Salem. I'm sure you can grab a ride to all the Salem area events with others.

Lynn is sworn to secrecy! Let's just say you will all be excited.

@dirtdorphinsI like your way of thinking dirt. Big Grin
What are the ages of your children? There are some really cool things for children of all ages to do here in Willamette Valley.
I've added you to the Friday Plant Sale, Sebright tour, Hybridizing Clinic and Robert's Crossing. Would you like to be added to all the events in the two days? What about family members? I don't want to leave them out for events they might like to attend.

And car pooling is the best, that way everyone can visit in the car. Hurray!

We have a twenty-something daughter who lives in Portland to visit on the way out Smiling
Sadly, my 'children', although fairly well behaved (and getting up there in age, I can hardly believe they must be about 11 and 8 now), will not be welcome at most festivities and will have to wait patiently in the car a lot Hilarious!
That's okay--they love adventuresome roadtrips and we will wear them out on the front end of the journey as best we can so they will be grateful for the 'rest'

I guess that leaves them off the list for the restaurants. Rolling on the floor laughing
Handsome pups. Greg will be in heaven.
How are they with other dogs? If they are social they can run as much as they like at my place on Saturday morning. Almost 1/2 acre of fenced yard.
What about your husband? Do you both want to be added to all the events?

Yep, I'm in for it all. Navigator, chauffeur, sherpa, ringmaster, etc.

I'm not very thrilled with ANY of the event's organizers, tho. Was just informed last night, by a VERY excited Dirt, that I will necessarily be digging up MORE of my lawn for a "new sempy garden". Grumbling

But I do verymuch look forward to the trip and meeting all of you. Should be good fun.

From the looks of the guest list and the high level of photography expertise among the group - you should consider including some time to share hints and tips on photographing all those lovely items you will all get a chance to view. Make it a semp and photo clinic?????? Whistling

I can hardly wait for all those wonderful shots to be shared on ATP.
Perhaps a semp photo will be next years "Best in Show."
I think we had some winners in 2015 Hurray! Hurray!

Even if we cannot join the fun on site we can do so if you all share your clinic days here on ATP Lovey dubby
Now I am getting excited.

I am laughing again, I did not know that dirt & Asa went together. Asa I will apologize in advance. It will only get worse, umm, I mean better, when you get here. We look forward to meeting you both in person when you get here. And I will have lots of things in my garden to send home with you. Am I helping yet Asa?
Who needs a lawn anyway? Whistling

All those staying at the Red Lion can start making reservations tomorrow (Sat. 9th). And don't forget to tell them it is part of the Sempervivum Society group to make sure you get the discounted price. And also don't forget that the room comes with free breakfast. Hurray!
Free is a very good thing. Green Grin!

Marilyn we will all be sure to post daily to share the activities with you. There will be a lot of posting going on. Sure wish you could come though.
I started to promise you that I would order nothing but sun and temps in the 70's, but we both know I have no control over that department. *Blush*

Which reminds me, everyone bring your rain gear, just in case. In 2014 we had a lite drizzle off and on through the day, which was very manageable using rain coats. Last year was beautiful weather, in fact many things were blooming very early so we had quite a show of beautiful blooms of all kinds.

P.S.
Who plans on coming to my place Saturday morning? The fun will begin about 9:00 a.m. Hot coffee/tea and some things to nibble on as we stroll around the raised beds. We'll leave my place at 11:30 to head over to Kevin's place.

Just to be sure I get this right, if your name appears under "Breakfast at Lynn's place" in the first post on page 1 of this thread, then you're already known to be coming and you're good to go. Right?
