I've ordered from Sisters and Stout so far. I started listing them here and was almost done then lost everything I listed Grumbling
I will edit this later and list them again.

That is so frustrating isn't it? It drives me crazy when I make lists or post pictures here then mess up and lose the post before I am finished. And I have done that plenty. Sighing!

I have notes here, but waiting for catalogs. I order new as a rule for judging purposes. By the time they are eligible for awards they are 2 yr plants.

Part of me is, "Yay, I get all these pretty flowers for not much money".. and the other part of me is, "I want newer, more ruffles, more interesting combinations".. Fortunately, I 'm getting pretty full up here, and I swear I'm trying to cut down... but here's my Napa Order: Hahaha!

Bratislavan Prince.. I need more Mego's to evaluate Whistling

Candy Colours... looks like a sunset to me.

Don't Stop Believing.. lovely ruffled pink w/ blue beard

Good Morning Sunshine.. yellow, blue and a screaming orange beard.. woo hoo!

Quintessa .. The Painters have a lot of newer whites that look pretty nice.

Zlatovlaska .. those ruffled standards look like a fancy hairdo...and there's horns too!

I tend to stick to the older cultivars in both irises and daylilies. I find some of the new introductions to be
gaudy and odd rather than attractive, but that's just me. There are few new ones that make it to my list.

Nice ones Sherry! I got Candy Colours and Zlotovlaska last year for pretty much the reasons you described!

I really don't care for the flat irises, probably why I don't like the Japanese irises.

Yay Debra! I have Frosty and Japanesque too! They haven't bloomed yet. Only flattie that bloomed last year was What a Mixture. Only one of the blooms went fully flat, but the not fully open ones were interesting too - looked a bit like tulips.

I first saw Frosty Moonscape at the Dallas Iris Show last year. Lovey dubby For Japanesque, at least, even the not-fully-flat form is intriguing from what I can see in the database photographs. Six Pack was a just-because. Smiling

I totally envy all you people with access to so many wonderful new introductions. Sadly, I was told by Mariposa, albeit in really sweet terms, that they can't ship internationally. But Doug Kanarowski did tell me that he will be introducing two new "remarkable" TBs within a couple of weeks, and he sent me this photo of an amazing seedling, with permission to post it on ATP :

Quite something, don't you think?

And the good news for me is that TempoTwo runs a similar arrangement for Europe (plants sent to a place in France and distributed from there) so I can buy all sorts of wonderful things that are not available in England. Smiling

If I had access to all the goodies available to you all, I'd no doubt go bankrupt very quickly! Hilarious!

CC -- I'm really sorry that Mariposa can't accommodate you. I hope that you find some really beautiful ones in your area.

Barry Blyth should have enough plants to bankrupt you nicely. You could get plants from France without problems?

Yes, no problems getting plants from France to England because both countries are in the EU, so no taxes and in general no restrictions. (Like many English people, we also have a place in France - property is cheaper there and we get more sun!)
