That little frog was lucky you were watering your plants, Sally; otherwise it could have been in there all winter!
That's a great photo!!

I agree
Don't squat with yer spurs on!

People try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved

Sally - ❤️❤️❤️That pic!!! You need to enter it!
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

After I filled the birds' platform feeder with whole peanuts this morning, I watched as a squirrel started nosing around under it. It's mounted on a pole about 5' above ground so that only birds can eat from it, so I was thinking it was out of luck and should mosey on over to the squirrel feeding area, where I had put some shelled peanuts.

Just then, a Blue Jay dropped a whole peanut over the side of the feeder. I've seen Jays drop peanuts on the ground seemingly on purpose before, and always assumed they planned to swoop down later and get them. Sometime other Jays fly down and pick them up, but today guess who lucked out? Yep, one happy squirrel who's not as dumb as I thought Smiling

The sad news: Something got one of my Cardinals today and left its remains in my yard.
The consoling news: Judging from the fact that only feathers, claws and a beak were left, it probably was a hawk and not a cat.
Still, I'm not looking forward to having to clean that mess up tomorrow Sighing!

Re birds.....
One of the Junkos that feeds on my patio floor has a white tail.
