Melanie, I loved the tour! DH and I always make a trip or two or three to Titusville each year to watch the birds at the wildlife refuge there. We also visit George (our name for him) the alligator, who can always be seen sunning himself in his favorite spot. Depending on when we go sometimes the birds are sparse but George can always be counted on to pose for some photos.

Ugh, sorry to see the lubber. That is one destructive insect.

I don't know how I missed this thread, but what a great time you had, Melanie! Beautiful place! I think the Pelican Island Audubon Society (here in my county) visits there from time to time. When I retire, I plan to get involved with the society and do trips with them. But it's not easy for me now due to working all the time.

Where's the place in Rockledge that birders go to?
