I have to say that the difference between my "Nightwood" database photos is that the red, tight rosettes were growing quite near the cold ocean coast and after I purchased it, I took it more inland where it was warmer, less humid and sunnier. I looked at semp.liste photo and it does look quite different from mine but my plant looked different just within different locations and seasons.

Bev you're right I don't think my plant looks like that one. I apologize for all the back and forth. I will research this more over the weekend. I tip my hat to you.

Wanted to update this thread, since I received my plant from Webesemps, and hers is incorrect than obviously mine is incorrect too, don't know why I was fighting that logic Sticking tongue out guess I really don't want it to be a NOID, but it is :nodding:
Here are photos of the 2 Nightwoods NOIDs that I have
Thumb of 2016-03-15/gg5/1c3ca1
Thumb of 2016-03-15/gg5/54080e
They're both lovely clones

I have moved them out of the database entry for 'Nightwood' and put them into the Parent Plant entry.

What does the second photo of 'Nightwood' look like in the summer? Just wondering if it turns this color?

Lynn I haven't had it long enough to know...got it from Kevin last June, it is the one he got from SMG so I've labelled it SMG Nightwood - knowing that it is a NOID I tip my hat to you.
@Valleylynn meant to say Thank you for removing the photos from the database. Cheers

Hey Lynn, SMG's Nightwood is not the correct plant (per German sites) - I notified him last year and he continued to sell it. But it's a pretty one so no one really wants to give it up. Shrug! some are calling it SMG Nightwood (aka NOID)

My Nightwood definitely didn't look like the one on the German site during spring summer fall or winter so I Noided it. Thanks all for the research.

I agree Bev. Yours looked to be an arachnoideum cross. A nice one even if it is a NOID.

The more I look at the "SMG Nightwood" the more I think it is correct. It certainly goes along with the pedigree that Moore published and also resembles the others from that same series. It shuld NOT have tufts based upon its pedigree, which is tectorum and marmoreum types, not any cobwebs in there.

Kevin I wish I could "double thumbs up" this one!! As my clone colors up I was thinking it kind of looked like the sempervivumliste picture, why was the SMG clone considered incorrect do you know? (just curious, not fussing)
I tip my hat to you.
