It'll be coming off the dishwasher and microwave next time around ..
The fridge and freezer , washer/dryer and stove are still relatively new, may give them one more year ..

Ya know, you feel secure with insurance, but, if, let' say and gawd forbid, the fridge stopped working .. I would lose food because there is ALWAYS a wait time .. they don't do 'triage' at the repair shop ..

How can you turn a mattress a quarter turn? I didn't think any of them were square.

I try to turn the mattress with the change of season - spring equinox coming up. Ours is a queen, so must do a 180, and this one only has the pillow top on one side (our last one had it on both top and bottom) so a bit easier to do. I also try to use that time to rearrange the room a bit - it's nice to have a change. I'd really like to repaint this go-round, but we are in the midst of a bathroom remodel so likely that will not make the to-do list.

Turn time is good dust bunny rousting out time.

The dang bed doesn't get TOTALLY pulled out for long periods of time .. and, it's the home to one of the dogs who has decided she quite likes the ambiance under there .. doubtless we'll find MONSTER dust bunnies under there ..probably have to sign in to gain entry !

Re the 'quarter turn' .. yep, the mattress is wider one way .. but,we live with it .. not a big deal .. and, there is a ton more room at the bottom of the bed ..
Been turning the one we have for over 3 years .. last November was when I FLIPPED it ..

Wednesday is DELIVERY day for the mattress, it is also the day we have a prediction for 7-10" of .. SNOW !!!!!!!

Will be up bright n early have the bed stripped and furniture moved out as best I can .. am hoping they can come in the back door, through the ensuite and FLOP it on the box springs ... all this with 3 dogs barking !!!

The CALL came at 8:10am .. and, Sears was here at 8:15 am and,done by 8:30!!
The 2 young fellas were just sweet ..
I thank my lucky stars I was up early and had stripped the bed and hid the undies LoL

AND .. because of the intense storm here, I made the bed and forgot to take a pic !!!

I'm glad you got your new mattress, but so sorry about your weather.

ABout 3 years ago we spent a bundle for a queen size top of the line Sleep Number bed. We love it. It has an adjustable base so you can elevate the head or foot. That was a God send when I had pneumonia last year. Also when my husband tore a muscle in his leg. You can also adjust the firmness of each side with the touch of a button. It has two air-filled bladders inside, topped by memory foam, then all zipped into the casing. If a part fails, or the foam breaks down, you just replace that component rather than the whole mattress.

On the other hand, the initial cost was an arm and a leg.

Got a good deal on this one as I knew the mattress sale at Sears is in March .. had no idea that each year has a 'MODEL' of mattress, just like a car .. we have the 2015 Beautyrest, or is the 2016?
Going to take getting used to .. couldn't enjoy it much as the dogs were unimpressed by the winds outside, and, decided they needed PROTECTING !!!

Off to attempt to shovel, kind of overwhelming !

Have 4 sets, but 'plain Jane' .. I want 'ROMANTIC sheets' .. roses or flowers of some sort ..

Not me...I want all cotton flannel..warm in the winter and surprisingly cool in the summer. And, if they have unicorns and snwflakes on those -- all the better.

That's a HUGE fer sure Rosie .. of my 4 sets of sheets .. 2 are DEEP pocket, and, the others not .. lotsa YANKING trying to get the NON deep pocket ones on .. !!
