Jennifer, very nice set-up you have for your lovely plants!! I really like the pots you chose for Aglo and Calathea, they compliment the leaf colors very well!

tarev, Love that wall and the pockets planted with Calathea!!

Ah yeah, somehow that bromi reminds me of the leaf span of my pineapple..so hard to hide indoors but I have no choice it will be killed if I leave outdoors.

Nice haul! Makes me want to go out and pick up a few things Whistling I love the calatheas, there are so many pretty variations of those. I'm trying one now to see if I have any luck with it. If it lives, I can see myself starting a new collection Big Grin

Jennifer, very nice looking plants.
Ordered three begonias for delivery at the end of February, hopefully the temperature will warm up. Waiting for spring.

Jennifer, what a nice bunch if plants you got!! I'm curious where you went because most places here are still out of houseplants. I think the Bordines in clarkston (?) has a few now that Christmas season has passed, but I haven't been there in awhile.

Anyway, good luck propagating that pepperomia, it's a cute plant!

As for the bromeliad, I'm sorry you're regretting it. Sad I keep mine on the floor by my tv. It had two pups and it's on its way out now, but big plants like that can stand on their own as on-the-floor focal pieces. Unless you have nosy pets, of course. Rolling my eyes.

I went to Telly's in Troy. They always have a wonderful selection. But in summer I never make it inside! Winter is houseplant shopping time.

I gifted the bromelaid! My coworkers wife has just developed a passion for houseplants. She was thrilled to receive it!

I think Telly's was where the daylily show was last year. Nice stuff there. I purchased cardinal flowers from them. I didn't really see or look at houseplants there, though. I might have to take a better look next time.

There was a favorite large leaf begonia @$12.95 that I was looking for at Logee's with a discount of $6.95 and another for $11.95 reduced to $$4.95 with a coupon. With out the reduction I would not have ordered them. Have to figure in shipping etc. The third plant is 3 Begonia Venosa that went from $12.95 to $$9.95 each. Couldn't let it get past me. Expecting them beginning of March depending on the weather. My splurge for Begonias.
Looking and researching for specials on small Staghorn Ferns or Tillandsias in the spring and will stop after that.
I use different greenhouses for variety because the plants are usually healthy but on the small size. Plus prices have gone up unfortunately.

I saw the coffee tree, what did you think of the price that they are selling the coffee tree for? Could you find one that size cheaper elsewhere? There are not any greenhouses near where I live in the city and I do not drive so I am forced to try my hand with online shopping. (Have had the Venosa begonias before from a different greenhouse but the plant was so tiny for the price with brown leaves, was very disappointed).. The Logee's 40-60% off helps me with my choices. The group of begonia plants that I ordered are retirement gifts for myself.

I dunno about comparative pricing. Wait for warm weather and try eBay. Or look on here for folks who trade plants.

Went to Home Depot and saw small coffee bean trees in a mug with a spoon for $7.99. Cute.
