I forgot about this one. Very fragrant and no staking needed.

I have The Admiral and it's a nice double with just a touch of red in the center...

I don't usually stake any of my peonies unless they are the really old doubles like Lemone, etc...

Diann,
Those blooms are beautiful. I will have to keep an eye out for them. I have 'White Ivory' but it has never bloomed for me. I got it in 2014 from GHW. This should be its year!

Liz, don't worry about it. I have a hard time keeping the photos on ATP to display properly on my iPhone. I'll try to remember to post the variety in the message.

I wonder if you can narrow the ID options for my neighbor's double white with great strong fragrance - I first thought that it is Festiva Maxima, but have some doubts. Now I am "suspecting" Madam de Verneville... I would say strong performer, mid to high size of the bush, strong stems, but need staking when flowering. I think the flower is more "compact" compare to Festiva Maxima and leaves are slightly smaller.

Alex, this year have her write down the bloom date. Also if you or anyone else has 'Red Charm' write down that bloom date. Then look at the bloom date sequence database and try to narrow down the possible varieties that way.
