Raestr - 'Tears of Joy' has very peculiar flowers in that most of them are totally missing petals. All you see is the yellow inner parts of the flower. There have been discussions about that - I don't remember whether here or over on Hallson's, but it seems to be a trait of the plant.
I really like 'Nougat'. I see it's on the list of registered mini-hostas. But how does it grow with all that white? Or does it green up later in the season? Looks a bit like 'Lakeside 'Zing Zang' (a sport of 'Lakeside Zinger'). I've had a bit of LZZ in my LZ but it has never grown well enough to separate.
I also like 'Winter Lightening' but see it's not on the AHS lists of registered or unregistered mini hostas. Probably classifies as a small.
I have 'Little Treasure' and it grew well for me last summer in full sun after we had to remove an ash tree. It's not on the AHS lists of minis either, but definitely small. This pic at the end of August last year. BTW, though it's not on the list of mini hostas, 'Curly Fries', which you see directly behind it, is. Go figure! It's obvious to me that 'Little Treasure' is the smaller of the two.
