Gita, I do not have a name for the Epi.Wish I did. Have you seen the yellow one. It is so pretty.
I would love to have one but for some reason I am having trouble getting onto Matts. It kept throwing me off.

I had camellias all winter. They were so beautiful. Mine is the Pink one. I lost my red one.

I am thrilled with the Easter Cactus also. I have had no luck with them except one red one, which I thought you gave me. Someone did but it bloomed in January and has not bloomed since. It is in a 6 inch pot and growing like a weed but no blooms.

A few days make a big difference with these babies. Today I found these blooming in the bird room. They are certainly happy and healthy and have no clue that it is April. Confused Actually, the Thanksgiving Cactus do bloom several times a year, but this year they just did not even take a break from when they began in the Fall. I hope they soon take a rest or they may just wear themselves out.

JB---

I posted this on the "Thinking about Food" Thread of yours. BUT!!!!!

From all the rooted cuttings (all doing great under the lights) one has bloomed!!!! Hurray!
Amazing--as these cuttings are growing in small condiment cups.

If you like this a lot--I could mail you a couple. These cuttings weretaken from the pink
EC I bought at Rite Aid 2 years ago. They were so pretty! I had to have a couple.Gave one to sally.
The other one did so-so--that is why I took all these top cuttings and planted them in really nice
seed-starting mix and have been keeping them under my light set-up.

Here is the first one that bloomed! None of the other cuttings even have buds.....

Not sure if this is some special cultivar ot just a reg. pink EC.

LMK if I can send you a few......Gita

Gita, you know that is not an Easter Cactus.....you mean Thanksgiving Cactus don't you? It is beautiful and I would love to have a couple if you can spare them. I lost that one called Petra's Pink and she just brought me some pink cuttings from the old plant her sister had but I do not know if they will grow.

Been really busy, if you need me send me an email or a Tmail. Sorry I missed the other post. I did not see it.

I was a good day yesterday. Took all the little 3 in. pots with the new replacements of what I lost last year and now they are big enough for 6 inch pots. They look so happy. All the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter got new soil and pots. I am thrilled they are growing. I am hoping the five I have in the Greenhouse that I thought were dead will surprise me and come back. Really hot in there and not too much water. We will see. There are three of the five that look promising.
Now they can all rest until October. Crossing Fingers!

My white Easter Cactus bloomed for about two months. Now the wilted flowers are still on and if I go to pull them off they do not want to let go. I am not sure what is going on with it. Any thoughts?

My white Easter cactus is almost gone, Looks terrible!
Remember, long ago, I sent you a picture of the desiccated stems and fronds?
Well--it never got better! Wonder if I water it too much??? HUH? ME!!!
I will search to see if there is even one reasonably plump section to root.
If not--I am tossing it.
Now--I am just waiting to see if the baby pink ones will bloom soon.
YES!!! I KNOW the difference, JB. Hilarious! Confused
Today--almost a month late--I put them all outside on racks right up to my house
under the patio. Tjhe big CC's are still inside. NO reason--just haven't had the time
to haul out the heavy rack and all the potted CC's.

This yea--it has been the horrors of EVERY seed sprouting from all my WS seeds.
I am to the point where I do not know what to do with them.
Like--I an GLAD they all germinated! BUT--too many of everything,

How are you doing?????? Feeling better? Getting back in the business???

Stay well, Love! Gita

The red HC cuttings you gave me are still doing so well. Everything seems to have come back as much as can be expected. I am doing better and am on a regular watering schedule and misting, etc. I am still not back to normal but I am trying my best to move on. It has been almost a year of recovery and this is one big pain in my butt. Thank you for asking.
No, I am not getting back in the business. I don't even want to think about anything like that again. It was really a lot of time for very little income. Lowes and HD really take away much of the little guys business. Just like Michaels and AC Moore did to the crafters who used to sell their crafts at shows. They can out price all of us so why bother.

I am not taking any CC outside this year because the sun is so hot and shines in spots where I never had much sun before.
I think this world is going crazy. I am hoping I can keep the humidity up in the house enough to keep them happy. We will see.

I do not do seeds, ever since I can not sprout them. You have that green thumb.

Remember all those little things you sent me for the horse shoes....every time I do a shoe I think of you. I just did one for gardeners. I will show it to you on this thread hoping no one minds. Different than the one I sent you. Talk soon my friend. Have a great weekend.

Aw, JB, your horseshoe is so cute. Have you thought whether advertising them on this site would be an option, or do you think it would be cost prohibitive because of shipping costs? If I had the funds, I'd purchase one or two. But, alas, I've got other debts to take care of pronto. Thumbs down

Hi I found a new bud on my Thankgiving cactus (Bristol Queen). I have been saving My segments cuttings and Planting in 4"inch pots for Local garden center to sell in late October and Early November! I was so surprised see the bud in June! Picture are the mother plant, rooted babies from segment cuttings and shipping tubes I place segment cuttings into tubes drill hole at ends. The tube really protect during mailing! I am showing the plant, too!
I do have segment cuttings available! I don't like mailing plants rooted in dirt.
