This is such fun to meet so many new people all at one! Glad you found us, Samantha and Susan~

Yes, Lynn, I will teach and lead and guide and help....but I want everyone to jump in and do the same. It's going to be such fun. I have a craft-art teaching background and am a muralist by profession. Paint is my main tool but I love using recycled things. I will be having Dave help me in bringing over some forums from Do Overs at cubits to Garden Art.

If anyone is eager to learn something in particular, share it here or tree-mail me (I LOVE THAT it's called Tree mail Big Grin ). I have a friend (Barb) that is the queen of garden art and I will be begging her to show up here. You will all be blown away!!! I sit on her patio with my mouth hanging open over her amazing gift of creativity and you will too.

Mornin', Folks...

"Additionally, it can be bought, recylced, hand crafted, or made from something not originally intended as garden art."

Welp, here's mine then! "Gizmo Man". Made as a Christmas present quite a number of years ago this creature has an old chicken waterer for it's torso, a mailbox for hips, pipes for arms and legs, a head made from a piece of duct, and the hat is the tray from one of my old mkt scales turned upside down. Eyeballs? Golf balls. Found them in my yard; my neighbor practices his driving quite often! The nose is a bolt, the "mouth" a hose washer and the neck collar is the ring a wok sits on while cooking in it. And the left hand holds a rain gauge!

And, of course, the mailbox is for storing hand tools and such so they are easily available. Ta-dah ♫.

See? It pays to enjoy "junk", eh? Of course now, over the years I've been told my former "junk pile" is to now be referred to as a "resources area". I'm fine with that!

Happy Day to All!

If you don't think the holes in bottom are big enough, gently drill you a larger one and put rocks in the bottom for good drainage, little pebbles will work.

Robin are those made of cement? Love the doors. I can think of places in my little woodland to put those. Lovey dubby

The small Fairy doors are polymer clay, the bigger hobbit/gnome doors are plaster or concrete and the stepping stones are concrete. All very easy to make and paint.

Evrything I've done is pretty simple using plastic lids and such from the bakery or produce section at the store. I bought the quikkrete from Home Depot, the plaster and clay from Walmart. Follow directions on the packages, then paint. But I will be glad to show every one.

Here are some pretties for my garden.
