Charleen sent me a wild purslane plant that has hot pick flowers. I've NEVER seen one with hot pink!!!
There are seeds already popping out and they are miniature of course. I've trying to collect them in an envelope and will happily share with you all if I cam able to get enough.
And here is Charleen's wild pink purslane. I've never heard of wild purslane having pink blooms so it may be an ornamental variety that a bird left for her. It has a different leaf...longer, than the pink I have and the blooms are very small in comparison to mine too. I'm a little bit stumped!
It has such pretty flowers..... It definitely looks like the purslane to me. I just love the pink flowers.... Becky - that pink is so bright and happy!

So I went into my local garden store and asked for Purslane, and the woman said oh it is outside on the left. First off it was Portulaca not Purslane. Second it looked way over watered. So looks like I may have to go into Huntsville, and see if I can fine some better looking plants.

It is so difficult to find purslane here in the dry state of Arizona. Which is just plain crazy. Target used to carry lots of it, but they closed the garden centers a few years ago.
Searie, they do the same here . . . purslane is not portulaca.
This week I will call around to get some. I did buy a small portulaca for my garden balcony but it doesn't recieve enough all day sun so it's limping along.

Yay I found a place that has purslane and in so many wonderful colors. I just got one today, but I have a feeling I will have to get every color they had.
