Yes, I believe if an eye breaks off they will grow a new eye elsewhere.

I have some rocket snapdragons that I wintersowed in 2011 and they are beautiful but one bunch got planted too close to the brick payers and they are heavy, so leaning over so I just cut it like down 1/3 to 1/2 the height and stripped the leaves off the bottom, used rootone and potting mix and will see if they will root..what do I have to lose and what do I have to learn?

According to a quick search on google, those cuttings should root very nicely. Wish I'd known that! I had some interesting no-name snaps last year and taking cuttings would have ensured that I had more!

I watered them well and put some mulch around them and placed them behind the forsythia bush where they will get shade and hoping for successful rooting. It's all about trial and error.. You don't know if it'll work if you don't try, right?

I'm having good luck rooting things in plastic water bottles with moist perlite mixed with potting mix and the caps on, in the windows of my house this winter, also my passies are in the fish filter rooted in the tub, and the jessimin has been easy to root in moist loose potting mix in styro foam cups. I hope we see some more posting here on this subject, I learn a lot.
