That's exactly why I think I would go to his greenhouse and only buy a plant that was in bloom already, if he has one. Then I'd be sure to get the color I want, and for that primo price I want the right color.

As I recall, Jim got his 'Frances Fox' from Meke Aloha and it seems to have done well for him, but I know (since I picked it up for him) that it had a flower when he got it so he knew what he was getting for sure.

The Francis Fox I have now looks healthy and is doing well. The one I got before, directly from Meke Aloha, was a weak plant that hardly had the energy to die. In fact, I think it was a freeby throw-in for a big order I had with them. Elaine, if you find them at Paul's place, pick one up for me.

Which? Frances Fox or Lemon Twist? I have a call in to him, but he hasn't called back yet. Will probably try to go visit his greenhouse later this week. His site says that one is in very limited supply, and as I said above, I'm not buying the Lemon Twist unless I'm sure it's going to bloom the right color as well as a good, lusty looking plant. Ok with you?

I got a Frances Fox from Rafael that was related to your original one - sat forlornly, gave me one flower then up and died slowly and painfully.

I'm looking for the Lemon Twist.

I got my first Francis Fox from Meke Aloha and it was a free throw-in. This last one from Rafael is fine. I had it judged but didn't win anything because it only has two blooms on it and it is competing with big Catts that are loaded with flowers. The biggest thing about judging is the competition.
